New Construction: 140 Residential Units + Underground Parking
On the outskirts of Aachen’s city center, 139 high-quality residential units are being developed as multi-story housing, partly as publicly funded student apartments, as well as single-family homes. The previously interrupted street-front development will be completed, creating a high-quality park-oriented area for six single-family terraced houses and four ‘Houses by the Park’. This ensures visual connections to the adjacent green area to the northeast, sufficient ventilation, and offers attractive play and communication areas for residents.
The structured and appropriately scaled building design, featuring facades of brick and plaster surfaces, as well as terrace and green roof elements, integrates harmoniously into the surrounding development. All buildings are heated with air-source heat pumps and feature extensively greened roofs with PV systems.
Parking will be entirely accommodated in a greened underground garage with comprehensive charging stations. Additionally, approximately 300 bicycle parking spaces are provided within the buildings or in the outdoor areas next to the entrances. A new long-distance cycling connection will also be established.
