Conversion / Renovation of the Paul-Gerhardt Primary School Listed Building

Conversion and repurposing of the historic school building at Billiger Str. 2 in Euskirchen as a primary school for the Paul-Gerhardt School (incl. after-school care and cafeteria area).

The building is a listed monument, and the renovated extension will almost meet the EnEV standard after the conversion. The conversion essentially comprises the following measures:

• Structural upgrading of classrooms and administrative offices
• Circulation areas are being converted into multi-functional rooms
• Core renovation and conversion of the courtyard-facing central wing into an area for after-school care, including kitchen and sanitary facilities
• Achieving accessibility through a “through-car lift” as a new construction in front of the schoolyard-facing facade
• Conversion of the former choir hall into an auditorium for the Paul-Gerhardt School
• Upgrading of escape routes
• Renewal and upgrading of building services
